Description
Newly created VDA server is not registering with the delivery controllers.
Citrix health assistant reports that the server is fine. No errors seen.
When Citrix desktop service was restarted, Event ID 1003 error was generated stating:
"The Citrix Desktop Service failed to initialize communication services required for interaction between this machine and delivery controllers. If the problem persists please perform a 'repair' install action or reinstall the Citrix Virtual Desktop Agent."
Resolution
As OS is corrupted, you will need to either:
Reinstall the OS on the server machine or possibly engage Microsoft to get to the root cause of the corruption.
Or
Install VDA on a new fresh server and decommission the affected VDA server.
