Description

VDA is in powered Off state on the hypervisor.
User clicks on the desktop icon and machine starts on hypervisor due to powerOnlaunch request and registers but the launch fails with the below error :

Citrix Workspace :  Could not start  appThere was a problem contacting "XXX"

 

Resolution

  1. Add registry setting to the endpoint machine :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\Dazzle
Value Name : "LaunchTimeoutMs"
Type : "Reg_SZ"
Value Data : 300000

Problem Cause

Workspace App for windows has a retry timeout of 3 minutes after which it quits and the launch fails.

Note : -ExtraSpinUpTimeSecs registry is already in place but still the launch fails due to workspace timeout.
