This article introduces how to capture and download a network trace from XenMobile server

Instructions

  • Collect Network trace:
  1. Login to Xenmobile via CLI,
  2. Follow the menu option, Select Toubleshooting(3)>>Network Utilities(1)>>Network Trace(7) 
  3. Input "y" to overwrite the previous network trace files
  4. Enter optional hostname to filter traffic or Press Enter to start network trace collection.
  5. Try to reproduce your issue and press Enter to stop trace collection.
       Note: Checking the prompt "tcpdump: listening on eth0..."  to confirm the network trace capture has started  
e.g.  overwrite trace.JPG
  • Download network trace
  1. Generate support bundle in XenMobile server GUI(Refer to Support Bundles document),
  2. Download the support bundle and unzip, find collected network trace file is under "/sas_trace/" path.
