When launching the first MS Office Pro Plus 2016 application in a session, a partial installation is ran.

1. Install the Visual C++ 2015- 2019 redistributable, except the two builds noted below, needed for CWA in the OS layer
   • 14.28.##
   • 14.30.##
2. Create a new Platform Layer
3. Create a new Office Layer
4. Publish a new image with the new layers
5. Test
6. Reach out to Citrix Support as needed

Problem Cause

• In one use case, Citrix Workspace App required a newer Visual C++ redistributable version. When the newer version was installed it was removing the older version. The newer version was not backwards compatible with the version used by Office. The Office installer was reinstalling the older version for the applications to work.

• In a second use case the cause was due to the below registry data being present in the OS Layer. During the installation of Citrix Workspace App in the platform layer, the C++ redistributable kit was being updated causing the registry data to be removed, since it was not needed. This deletion was triggering the Office re-install, repair process in the user sessions
