Description

Microsoft’s October 2022 security updates have passed Citrix testing (the updates are listed below). The testing is not all-inclusive; all tests are executed against English-only environments and issues may still be found upon implementation. Follow best practices for testing and installing software updates/patches in a development environment before implementing the updates in a production environment.

Issue:

Issue Description

'Unable to add account with the given Server URL. Ensure that it is correct ...' error may be seen with Citrix Workspace App after installing the above OS Security Updates from Microsoft. Also, being discussed here.

Problem Cause

Microsoft has ended support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1. With the October 2022 security updates, the options of TLS 1.0 and 1.1 gets removed.

Solution

Enabling TLS 1.2 or above (if using Netscaler, check on the TLS settings to ensure TLS 1.2 or above is added) on the endpoint resolves the issue.
