Description
For Windows 10/11 as VDA, CWA Windows client machine uses Microsoft Korean IME with the Korean keyboard (101 key) Type 2, or Type 3. The Citrix Workspace keyboard sync mode is configured as “Sync only once” in the Keyboard and Language Bar setting.
Starting the Windows 10/11 Desktop/APP session, the client's Korean keyboard type cannot be synchronized to the remote session. And the related Korean switching keys of Hangul and Hanja will not work as expected in the CWA Windows client machine.
E.g., For the Korean keyboard (101 key) Type 3, the combination keys SHIFT + SPACE and CTRL + SPACE is working in the CWA Windows client machine but not working as expected in the Windows 10/11 Desktop/APP session starting from the same CWA Windows client machine.

Resolution
- Install the Korean language in the Windows 10/11 VDA machine, then select the related Korean keyboard type and restart the VDA machine. (Note: Administrator access is required for selecting the Korean keyboard type.)
- E.g., To use the Korean keyboard (101 key) Type 3, install the Korean language, then select Type 3 in the VDA machine.
- Install the Korean language through “Settings" -> "Time & Language" -> "Language" -> "Add a Language" -> “Korean”
- Select Type 3 through “Settings" -> "Time & Language" -> "Language" -> “Korean language Option” -> “Change layout” -> “Korean keyboard (101 key) Type 3” -> “Restart now”
- If want to roll back to use the client-side determined keyboard type in "Sync only once" mode, you need to change two registry keys to 0: OverrideKeyboardSubtype and OverrideKeyboardType that the registry key path is Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters, then restart the VDA machine.
