Description

VDIs power state shows "machine not found" and registered in Studio .

Resolution

Move all the machines to the catalog and hosting unit with the same azure subscription.

Problem Cause

Machine catalog and the hosting unit is in one azure subscription and the machine is in different subscription . When citrix tries to enumerate all resource groups to fetch machine power states , the resource group containing the faulted machines cannot be located under the subscription .
  • The Broker will map the 'Terminated' machine state for the associated machine to a 'VirtualMachineNotFound' power state.
  • The Broker will assign a machine fault state of 'VirtualMachineNotFound' to the associated machine. This assigned fault state shall be propagated up to Studio, and displayed as a warning.
  • The Broker will not perform further power state polling for a machine having a 'VirtualMachineNotFound' power state.
  • The Broker will not broker sessions to machines having a 'VirtualMachineNotFound' power state (missing virtual machines).
