Description
Session Recording Player is unable to find the recorded sessions, Event ID: 1009 with message "Exception caught while obtaining session metadata or running record policy query" is logged on the VDA.
Resolution
On the VDA check the below registry, if not preset create it.
Registry path : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\VirtualDesktopAgent\State
Value type : String
Value name : FarmName
Value data : <Citrix CVAD Site Name>
Problem Cause
Session Recording Agent failed to obtain session metadata from Citrix Virtual App and Desktops Site, as FarmName registry value is missing and Database is updated with NULL values.
