Description

Citrix ADM instance constantly showing su: nobody to pgxl in console

<auth.err> RCG-ISLBADM-PRI su: in prompt_echo_off(): tcgetarrt(): Inappropriate ioctl for device
<auth.notice> RCG-ISLBADM su: nobody to pgxl

su: nobody to pgxl

Resolution

Check whether the Management IP is on ADM first NIC.
If not, configure the same on First NIC.

If you are still seeing the the same console errors, You can safely Ignore it.

Problem Cause

These are used by ADM internal commands to sync data between ADM Primary and secondary. ADM process is running with “nobody” user and requires pgxl privilege to run some of this operations.
So it is just changing the privileges temporarily to run this operation. Not any attack on the system.
