VDA installation failure due to "monitor plug-in error code 1603"
Resolution
1- Open Control Panel -> Open System -> Browse to Advanced System Settings -> Environment Variables
2- Under System variable Edit Path -> Add New -> C:\Windows\System32\Wbem and %SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem
3- Reboot
4- Extract VdaMonitorPlugin_x64.msi using a utility such as 7zip and copy Citrix_ResourceUtilization.mof to Windows\System 32
5- Run Command Prompt as admin and run mofcomp.exe Citrix_ResourceUtilization.mof
6- The file will compile and complete in just a few seconds.
7- Now run the VDA cleanup utility and uninstall previously installed failed components.
8- Reboot
9- Reinstall the VDA.
