Description
Microsoft’s February 2022 security updates have passed Citrix testing (the updates are listed below). The testing is not all-inclusive; all tests are executed against English only environments and issues may still be found upon implementation. Follow best practices for testing and installing software updates/patches in a development environment before implementing the updates in a production environment.
- XenApp/XenDesktop 7.15 CU8
- Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 1912 CU4
- Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 2112
Where applicable, the above Citrix products were tested with below updates.
Note: On some environments, when the Domain Controllers OR PVS Servers are updated with January 11th Security update and/or the January 18th update, the Citrix PVS Soap server service may not start as outlined on
CTX338544. Microsoft has made .NET updates available (refer to the Out of band .Net patches in below table) around 7th February after which this issue is no longer observed. These updates addresses an issue where applications that leverage .NET Framework System.DirectoryServices APIs specific to acquiring or setting Forest Trust Information may fail or crash with various errors, including an access violation.
