The VDA logon server reaching to different Geo Domain controller

Environment

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.

Resolution

Option 1:
Force to change the specific logon server as workaround

nltest /Server:ClientComputerName /SC_RESET:DomainName\DomainControllerName

Option 2:

  1. Type “Regedit“, then press “Enter“.
  2. Navigate to:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    • SYSTEM
    • CurrentControlSet
    • Services
    • Netlogon
    • Parameters
  3. Create a String value called “SiteName“, and set it to the domain controller you wish the computer to connect to. (i.e. DC1.domain.com)
