LVDA 1912 : Ubuntu 18.04 VDA Grey screen upon session launch
Resolution
- Upon inspection we found some hwe-xorg packages on the LVDA that are known to cause this issue
- Uninstalling the below packages resolved the issue:
xserver-xorg-legacy-hwe-*
xserver-xorg-core-hwe-*
xserver-xorg-hwe-*
xserver-xorg-video-intel-hwe-*
- Required XORG package : xserver-xorg-core
Problem Cause
hwe-xorg packages on the LVDA were causing the issue with session launch
