Description

Citrix Gateway Service is designed to operate across multiple Points of Presence (POPs) in order to enhance availability and performance. In the event that a POP goes down or experiences connectivity degradation beyond specified thresholds. Citrix Optimal Gateway Routing responds to subsequent DNS queries by providing the public IP address of the next closest POP.

Instructions

Citrix Cloud does NOT support ability to display the current accessing POP info for active HDX session.

Alternatively, in the Workspace client, the DNS resolution of 'global.g.nssvc.net' will contain an IP address and aliases. The IP address represents the actual IP address of the currently accessed Point of Presence (POP), while the aliases also provide information about the POP info.

To use "nslookup" command, see below:

Address: 20.195.102.126 >> the public IP of POP that will serve this client.
Alias: az-asia-se.g.nssvc.net >>the POP is deployed on Azure Service in Asia.

Additional Note:
The 'launched via IP' information of HDX session, displayed in Citrix Cloud Web Studio (see Pic. 1) represents the public IP address of the Workspace service (Cloud StoreFront) that the end user is accessing. Typically, it corresponds to the Workspace service address (https://*.cloud.com), which may be located in the US or AP-S region only.
