Description

Adding more than 6 disks to VM from XenCenter throws error "You have reached the maximum number of virtual disks allowed for this virtual machine"

Resolution

Please use the below command to add additional disks to VM:

xe vm-disk-add device=<disk position number> disk-size=< KiB, MiB, GiB or TiB> sr-uuid=<SR-UUID> vm=<VM-UUID>

You can change the name of the disk from XenCenter.
