Note - In recent releases of Google Chrome this issue has been resolved and these steps shoud not be necessary.
For Windows based client machines, you can follow the instructions below:
3. Run gpedit.msc > navigate to Computer Configuration >Administrative Templates > Google>Google Chrome
4. On the right-hand side, select 'List of file types that should be automatically opened on download' and click on policy setting
5. Select enabled and click on show. Define value as "ica"
6. Run gpupdate /force and relaunch chrome browser to access Storefront or gateway URL
7. Published apps/desktops will launch automatically instead of downloading .ica file
Note: This policy can be set either as computer or user setting
