Description
- Studio fails to open/connect to the site when performing failover test to secondary SQL server.
- Error: "Reenter the Controller address or enter a new address".
- Error Details: "Valid Delivery Controller services were not found at the specified location. Reason: Database rejected the connection".
Resolution
Add the machine accounts of the Delivery Controllers under Security > Logins on the mirror/secondary SQL server with the correct/same permissions these were already added on the primary SQL server.
Problem Cause
Error details on the Delivery Controller was reporting "Valid Delivery Controller services were not found at the specified location. Reason: Database rejected the connection".
Checking SQL server logs, found error "Login failed for user DOMAIN\DDC_HOSTNAME Reason: Could not find a login matching the name provided".
Mirror/secondary SQL server did not have the machine accounts of the Delivery Controller servers added under Security > Logins which was causing that the database server was rejecting the incoming connection from the DDCs.
