Attempts to use Windows Media Redirection might fail even after choosing to be Allowed in the Windows Media Redirection Policies setting. This happens when Windows Media Fallback Prevention policy setting is enabled along with Windows Media Redirection policy, forcing client-side rendering.
Resolution
If your delivery group is using Citrix Workspace App for Mac, select the following options within policies related to Windows Media redirection.
Windows Media redirection -> Prohibited
Windows Media Fall back Prevention-> Not Configured
Please note that enabling Windows Media Redirection policy works too, as long as Windows Media Fallback Prevention policy is disabled, allowing server-side rendering to proceed as a fallback. However, the recommended setting would be to disable both the policies as shown above.
