To migrate to pooled licensing (for MPX)

Instructions

1. Upload MPX-Z license and do a warm reboot.
2. After boot-up MPX will be unlicensed, in this state please ensure not to execute "save config".
3. Configure pooled licensing using commands "add licenseserver <IP> -port <port>" and then "set capacity -bandwidth <bwnum> -unit <Gbps/Mbps -edition <standard/enterprise/platinum>"
4. Execute "reboot -w" without saving the config.

On boot-up MPX will be licensed properly.
 

MPX requires 2 reboots to transition to pooled. After first reboot MPX becomes unlicensed. In unlicensed state, user should be careful not to execute "save config" or do HA failover.

In case of HA, this needs to be done on the secondary first.
Once you do it on secondary, you can perform a failover and do this on the other device.
