After installing the latest Cumulative Update,
- Cannot finalize the Version.
- Getting Error Message: An error occurred while finalizing version '1.7' of Layer 'Windows 10 1909 German'.
Resolution
To resolve the issue:
- Reboot the VM,
- Run the powercfg -h
- The Layer will be finalized successfully.
Problem Cause
Error = The disk contains an unclean file system.
likely after upgrading Windows 10 from 1803 to 1909 in a previous layer it reenabled the Hybernate option.
