Random Target Devices experience a Machine Account Password (MAP) discrepancy leading to a broken Microsoft "Trust Relationship" error upon user or admin login.  Resetting the MAP from the PVS console, may or may not resolve the matter.

Upgrade your Server software to the same version of your TD software package or newer.

Problem Cause

For years Citrix has stressed the importance of keeping your TD software at the same version or older than your Citrix Provisioning Services Server.  Citrix has designed the software so that a server can be upgraded ahead of the TD, but not the other way around.  This is done to assure you have your servers standing on stable ground within the environment prior to moving the TD's to the next iteration.  As a result, if the TD software is newer than the server there will be instances where certain functionality on the TD software cannot be processed correctly.  This is expected behavior.
