Some users might experience slightly longer virtual app/desktop launch (up to 5 secs) duration while using Citrix Gateway Service.

• Revert the below registry keys to default values by setting it to an empty string

•  On a 64bit machine

•  The below two policies would only appear if set by admin. The recommendation is to remove these policies if not used for other Storefront deployment. If policy is not removed, keys would re-appear after user logs in back to a device as Windows would populate them.

Problem Cause

  After 18^th May, 2020 users with the following registry key set to “Preferred” can attempt to initiate an EDT connection. As EDT is not yet provisioned by admin, it will take few seconds for the connection to fallback to TCP, causing the delay.

Note: If you are using multiple stores and one of the stores require this setting,then it is recommended to retain this setting. However, launching virtual applications/desktops using Gateway Service will be slightly delayed as mentioned above.
