"3D Map" in Excel 2016 might not work on VDA7.15 LTSR

Description

3D Maps might display the error: "Cannot initialize DirectX. Confirm that your hardware supports DirectX 10 or later and that you have the latest video card driver installed."

Resolution

The only option supported is to upgrade the VDA version.
Since VDA 7.16, we introduced "Citrix Indirect Display Adapter" which supports DirectX 10.

Problem Cause

The problem is due to limitation of supported DirectX versions.

3D Maps requires DirectX 10 or later versions
VDA 7.15 LTSR only supports DirectX 9

VDA 7.15 does not support 3D Maps.
