Error:
    BSOD error "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (CVhdMp.sys)" 
    Error appears while booting the target device from network during imaging process.
    
    Issue on Windows 10 1709 vDisks.

Resolution

    Solution:

    • Check for ghost NICs on the target devices and confirm all ghost NICs are removed.
    • Check for SATA controllers and confirm that No SATA controllers are in use on target device.
    
    Steps to upgrade the VMware tools after reverse imaging is in following order:
  •     Uninstall VMware tools
  •     Uninstall target device software
  •     Restart VM
  •     Install VMware tools
  •     Install target device software.
    
    NOTE:
Use E1000 NIC to update the VMware tools
    
  • About reverse imaging on UEFI VMs

Reverse imaging can be used to update antivirus and malware definitions, however, UEFI cannot perform this task as BIOS can perform it.

When reverse imaging UEFI VMs, consider the following:

 Reverse imaging UEFI VMs can only be done manually using P2PVS.exe, using either:

            ○ GUI
            ○ Command line
