Description

Print jobs are disappearing from print queue when printing from Windows 10-64 bit OS VDAs but works with other OS such as Windows 7 32 bit.

Resolution

Change the universal printer driver preference to XPS as the first preference for windows 10-64 bit VDA.
 

By default, the preference order is:

  • EMF
  • XPS
  • PCL5c
  • PCL4
  • PS

Problem Cause

Universal driver Preference.

Additional Information

>> Policies were fine as printing was fine from Windows 7 VDA.
>> The only change is windows 10 - 64-bit VDA and unable to print using universal printer driver.
Changed the universal printer driver preference to XPS for windows 10 VDA and issue resolved.
