Please consider below scenario:

  • The user connects to a Published desktop or to a Published application via HTML5 receiver from a Browser.
  • The Session Detail in Citrix Director for the above mentioned connection shows the Client IP address as 0.0.0.0, shown below:

HTML5 Receiver relies on HTML5 Websocket protocol, which is used by majority of the Browsers. Websocket as a Protocol doesn't support the detection of the IP address of the Client machine. Due to this technical limitation the above mentioned behavior is by design.
