Description

Audio not playing in Google Chrome inside ICA session after Google Chrome update.

Chrome 77.0.3865.90 (Audio not working with normal user) and not listed under Volume Mixer as well

Run as admin (sound works with chrome 77) and Chrome appears in Volume Mixer

Resolution

Add chrome.exe at
Key: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\CtxUvi
Value Name: UviProcessExcludes
Type: REG_SZ
Value: chrome.exe;

Problem Cause

Issue seems to be related to permission changes in the new version of Chrome browser: 77.0.3865.90

Additional Information

This may be due to a change in the Chrome browser as we are disabling Citrix Hooking for Chrome. Creating below registry in the VDA did not make any difference in behavior on version 76, which exhibited no issues in function.
