Description

  • Navigate to Add/remove programs
    • If you see the Connector version with anything less than version 6.8.0
    • The installer logs for the connector will be in the following locations:
      • C:\ProgramData\Citrix\WorkspaceCloud\InstallLogs
      • C:\Windows\Temp\CitrixLogs\CloudServicesSetup
      • You may see an error related to .NET 4.7.2 download or installation in the CWCConnectorPrerequisites_XXXXXXXXXXXX.log or CWCConnector_XXXXXXXXXXXX.log
        • “Error 0x80072efd: Failed attempt to download URL: 'https://cwsproduction.blob.core.windows.net/downloads/redist/NDP472-KB4054530-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe' “ (The blob URL is geo specific)
  • Connectors can impact the availability of services in an environment including issues related to:
    • App and desktop resource launch
    • VDA registration
    • Machine provisioning
    • Identity lookups

Resolution

  • Download and install .NET 4.7.2 on all your Connector machines that do not currently have it installed https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net472
  • Reboot the Connector as part of the .NET framework installation process
  • The Connector will attempt to auto-update itself when it comes back online, check the following details to confirm your Connector is on the latest version and that the .NET 4.7.2 dependency is in place

  • Head over to your Resource Locations page in your Citrix Cloud Platform 
  • Click on your Resource Locations that house the Connectors you’re inquiring about
  • Here you can view your connectors and see when they last updated

How can I see if my Connectors are healthy?

  • Head over to your Resource Locations page in your Citrix Cloud Platform
  • Click the (…) menu next to the Resource Location in question
  • Click Run Health Check and the system will check the status of the Connectors
