Description
Users see one of two different behaviors when connecting via ICA to Physical VDA machines with NVIDIA GPU.
1. When user try to connect, Desktop Viewer Window opens and session tries to login but sits logging in and then times out, after which user cannot reconnect.
2. User gets connected OK, but when they resize the screen the session freezes like the screenshot below and the user cannot reconnect.
Resolution
The latest VDA (1903) use DDAPI frame capture by default. Installing the latest VDA resolved the problem.
Problem Cause
NvFBC is significanly slower than DDAPI frame capture method. The default rendering method in the old versions of the VDA uses NvFBC.
