Sales steps
Contact your Citrix Sales representative to change your service. No additional steps are required.
Manual in-place upgrade (IPU) steps
To upgrade from Citrix Virtual Desktops Essentials to any other Citrix DaaS service, open a Citrix support ticket and request an “AzureVDI Upgrade.”
Fast decommission (FD) steps
Important: Before starting any fast decommission, delete all resources associated with the current service, such as catalogs, images, Cloud Connectors, and resource locations. To avoid additional costs, unlink your Azure subscriptions. If you are a trial customer, you can start a self-service fast decommission by browsing to one of the following URLs and following the guidance.
If you are a paid subscription customer, or if the self-service fast decommission didn't complete successfully, complete the following steps:
- Open a Citrix support ticket, requesting “fast decommission” of the current service. If the request is approved, Citrix Support and Operations enables the fast decommission workflow.
- When you're notified that your fast decommission request is initiated, go to the service you want to decommission in Citrix Cloud. The fast decommission workflow appears. Follow the on-screen guidance to approve the decommissioning of your service.

- After you approve the request, Citrix will perform the fast decommission and notify you when it is completed.
