With Downloads folder excluded from UPM ,we see the following error while launching an ICA Desktop session.

        

​This behavior is “By Design”.

Workaround for this issue is to create an empty folder named "Downloads" inside the User profile in  UPM profile store.



 

Problem Cause

• When the user logs for the first time with “Downloads” folder in exclusion directory list, UPM will copy the default user profile to set up the local profile. And when the user logs off Downloads folder will not synced back to the central profile store. 

• When User logon for the 2^nd time using UPM Profile, this will not get “Downloads” folder in UPM Store location to be loaded and throws that error.
• This behavior is different with “Desktop” or “Document” folders. UPM creates those folders if it will not get those in UPM Profiles. But with “Downloads” this is different.
