Description

The Citrix Virtual Delivery Agent does not register with the Citrix XenDesktop Deliver controller when streamed by Citrix Provisioning Services.

Resolution

First, ensure that the master image used to create the PVS vDisk is bootable and that the VDA registers, without using PVS, when booting the target.

If the VDA registers without PVS, use the following procedure to resolve the issue by setting the Citrix Desktop Service to delayed start

Follow the following steps to change the setting:
  1. Using the PVS Console, boot the PVS vDisk you are modifying into private image mode.
  2. Log in with administrator privileges.
  3. Start the Services control panel (services.msc).
  4. Select the Citrix Desktop Service and right-click to select the Properties menu.
  5. In the Startup type drop-down menu, select Automatic (Delayed Start) instead of Automatic.
  6. Shutdown and change the PVS vDisk mode using the PVS Console to the standard image.
