Description
After installing XenDesktop VDA 7.15 component, the Windows 10 v1709 will no longer boot up.
Resolution
When installing VDA 7.15 on Windows 10 v1709, exclude PvD.
Alternatively, use Windows 10 v1703 if PvD is required.
Note: Personal vDisk is deprecated.
Problem Cause
Default installation of VDA includes PvD component. This component is not compatible with Windows 10 v 1709, per CTX131553.
Issue/Introduction
Windows 10 v1709 is supported for XenDesktop VDA, but the Personal vDisk (PvD) option is not supported in Windows 10 v1709. In some cases, after installing VDA components, the Windows logo appears and the waiting icon will continue indefinitely.
