Description
Symptoms or Error:
To launch applications and desktops successfully, you must configure NetScaler Gateway to use your Cloud Connectors as the Secure Ticket Authority (STA) servers. If this configuration isn’t performed correctly, launch failures might occur.
An incorrect configuration can produce the following symptoms:
- A STA test initiated from within the Citrix Cloud management console fails.
- The Cloud Connector specified as the STA server in the NetScaler Gateway virtual server configuration is marked as DOWN.
Instructions
Solution:
- Verify that the Cloud Connector machine is powered on.
- Verify that the Cloud Connector machine is reachable on your network.
- Ensure that the Cloud Connector’s IP address or FQDN are typed correctly in the Secure Ticket Authority configuration.
- If using the Cloud Connector FQDN, verify that it resolves through the NetScaler Gateway. If it doesn’t resolve, create address records for all Cloud Connectors that you want to use as STA servers.
- Restart any Citrix Cloud services in Windows that are not running. Alternatively, restart the machine to restart all services automatically.
- Check the Event Viewer for reasons why services are not running.
- Ensure that the SSL Certificate bound to the NetScaler is still valid. An expired certificate can cause STA Test failures.
