How to change STA (Secure Ticket Authority) ID in XenApp/XenDesktop 7.X ?

Description
You have cloned the Delivery Controllers before adding to your XA/XD site and found that all of them have the same STA ID's. Now you wish to assign them unique STA ID's.
Instructions
1. Launch Registry Editor.
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\DesktopServer
3. Modify the STA ID in Reg_SZ "
XmlStaIdentity" -
Note: The XmlStaIdentity must not exceed 15 characters in length and may only include numbers and uppercase letters.
4. Restart the Citrix Broker Service.
Note: If the Delivery Controller software is installed on the Server and then cloned (prior joining to the XA/XD Site), then until 7.16 STA ID would not change. Starting XA/XD 7.16 after cloning the DDC the STA ID will be re-generated if the MAC address changes.

Caution! Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that might require you to reinstall your operating system. Citrix cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Be sure to back up the registry before you edit it.
