Description

After upgrading the VMWare Hypervisor due to some issues found, the following error is shown with the existing Hosting Connection on Studio console:

Resolution

  • Make sure that the vCenter certificate is installed on the Delivery Controller in the correct container depending on the OS running on the Delivery Controller as explained on eDoc https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/xenapp-and-xendesktop/7-6/xad-build-new-enviroment/xad-install-prep-host-vmware.html under "Obtain and import a certificate" section.
  • Then create a new Hosting Connection to the Hypervisor which should be created properly if the certificate was correctly installed.
  • Create new machines from Master Image using the new Hosting connection created.

Problem Cause

Hosting connection was broke after change made on the Hypervisor with the upgrade process.
