Description

This aim of this article is to help you verify if Virtual Paths/Intranet Service/Internet Service/Passthrough Service is correctly used to reach the destination.

  1. Under Monitoring > Flows verify that the end client/server traffic is reported under the correct “Service Type”.
  2. If the test traffic is not reported under the expected “Service Type”. Verify the routing configuration under Monitoring > Statistics > Routes.
  3. Under Configuration > System Maintenance > Diagnostics you can find necessary tools/options to perform reachability tests for the traffic originating from NetScaler SD-WAN.

Virtual Path Service Traffic

  • Ping/Traceroute the Gateway IP.
  • Ping/Traceroute the Access Interface IP on the other end of VP.

Intranet Service

  • Ping/Traceroute the Gateway IP.
  • Ping/Traceroute the Intranet Host.

Internet Service

  • Ping/Traceroute the Gateway IP.
  • Ping/Traceroute the Public IP.

Internet Load Balancing Test

  • NetScaler SD-WAN uses combination of Source IP + Destination IP to load balance Internet Traffic.
  • Use distinct Source IP + Destination IP connections to test if Internet connections are Load Balanced.
