Description
This article describes how to increase the disk size of an App Layer.
Instructions
Use
CTX226688 as a reference and follow the below steps for increasing the space in the Installation Machine(IM).
1. Add Version to a layer, and get it booted in an Installation Machine.
2. Shut down the IM.
3. Expand the layer disk in vSphere with Edit Settings, like the KB describes for the personalization layer. (Make sure to expand the app layer and not the OS layer -- the OS layer ought to be pretty big already by default.)
4. Boot up the IM.
5. In Disk Manager in Windows, expand the layer volume (you can tell which one it is: it's the one with all the unallocated space). Check the KB for details.
6. Reboot, just in case Windows expects a reboot.
7. Do anything else you need to with the layer and finalize when you're done.
