Description
VMs provisioned from the same master image will share an identical machine SID.
Resolution
Duplicate machine SIDs aren't an issue in a Domain-based environment since machines' domain accounts have the unique Domain SID.
Problem Cause
When GUI portion of Windows Setup has been reached during a Windows installation, the computer is assigned a name and a unique computer SID. If a system is cloned after this step, like via MCS provisioning, the cloned machines will all have identical computer SIDs.
