Description

  • Unable to delete vDisk version because the "Delete" option is grayed out since one target device is still showing that is connected to it.
  • The VM on the Hypervisor is already down, but PVS console shows the device is still Active and connected to the vDisk.

Resolution

  1. On the PVS console, go to the Collection where is located the target device that is still shown as connected to the vDisk.
  2. Select the target device in question and do right click on it.
  3. Select the option "Mark Device Down".
  4. Go the vDisk and check if is still showing connections.
  5. If the vDisk does not show more connections, the Delete option should be available now for the vDisk Versions.
  6. Proceed to deleted the vDisk version desired now.

Problem Cause

There was one target device that was shown as Active and connected to the vDisk when the VM on the Hypervisor was actually down already.
