Description

Unable to create or edit a connector.  When you try to select a Datacenter on a new Connector, or when the page attempts to render an existing Connector, you get this error:


Authentication Failed! (401) Please log in again and return to this page

Resolution

Log into Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM) with Local Administrator account, rather than AD account. 


Problem Cause

This is a problem where long-running Active Directory queries inside the ELM create a database lock that causes the rest of the connector transaction to timeout.  It might be related to a slow-responding AD. Some improvements came in version 4.3, but some issues still remain.
