Description

Citrix Cloud runs periodic health checks on Cloud Connectors to ensure that they are operational. If it is determined that available resources on the machine are less than optimal, the Resource Location and individual connector machine will be marked with a warning.

Possible causes of this include the following:

ErrorCloud Connector machine has 2 GB or less of free disk space
Symptoms
  • The Resource Location and individual connector machine will be marked with a warning icon.
  • A warning notification will be sent to the Administrator within the Citrix Cloud UI.
  • A warning will be written to the event viewer detailing the low disk space issue.
Impact
  • The lack of disk space could prevent Cloud Connector from upgrading.
  • Windows will slow down and start running out of usable memory if the computer does not have enough disk space to make a proper swap file.
  • Connectors operating with constrained disk space will impact service performance and maintenance.

ErrorCloud Connector machine has exceeded 80% CPU utilization over a one hour period
Symptoms
  • The Resource Location and individual connector machine will be marked with a warning icon.
Impact
  • Connectors operating with constrained resources may impact service availability, functionality or performance.

Resolution

Possible solutions include the following:
ErrorCloud Connector machine has 2 GB or less of free disk space
Solutions
  • Free up hard disk space by uninstalling unused programs
  • Run Windows Disk Cleanup utility to assist in freeing up space
  • While leaving existing Cloud Connector online, bring up a new machine that has additional disk space and install the Cloud Connector. Once the new Cloud Connector is operational, the old Cloud Connector machine can be decommissioned by uninstalling the Cloud Connector application.
ErrorCloud Connector machine has exceeded 80% CPU utilization over a one hour period
Solutions
  • Use Task Manager or other Windows utilities to determine which processes are using the most CPU
  • If the processes using the most CPU are non-Citrix Cloud related, uninstall the applications and keep the Cloud Connector machine limited to Citrix Cloud usage
  • If the processes using the most CPU are Citrix Cloud related, consider adding additional Cloud Connector machines to handle the load
