In the Unidesk Management Console, you might see "Needs Attention" as the status on one or another of your appliances, and if you click the (i) info button, you will see "High swap memory usage." If you have e-mail notification turned on, you will get e-mailed when the condition is triggered.
High Swap is triggered when you are averaging more than 50% swap usage for 3 hours.
The cure is a reboot. If you get MA or CP logs (depending on what is reporting the swap space), we can look at top.txt and see what process was using the memory. But there's not a lot we can do. If this is something that happens repeatedly, we will want to track memory usage more closely and see when it happens. That will help a lot to figure out why.
If you're going to get logs, get them before rebooting. Then just reboot. The status won't clear until your average drops below 50% (probably in a few hours), but the problem will be gone.
