Description
>The NetScaler appliance is unable to synchronize with the NTP server and the sync fails with above error :
“No association ID's returned”.
Resolution
>Disable "Auto-key " setting on the NTP server config on NetScaler .
There is a mutual exchange of key in between the NetScaler and the NTP server .
Problem Cause
We enable Auto-key setting on the NS (any n/w appliance trying to sync with the NTP server ) when the same is supported on the NTP server .There is a mutual exchange of key in between the NetScaler and the NTP server .
Issue/Introduction
The NetScaler appliance is unable to synchronize with the NTP server and the sync fails with above error :
“No association ID's returned”.
Additional Information
However , looks like in our case the Auto-key setting is not enabled/required on the NTP server and therefore the sync was failing .
