If you want to test to configure Citrix UPM ,you feel confused about the detail steps.This article will guide you one by one.
 


Instructions

1.Logon to your AD virtual machine as domain\administrator user.

2.Create a folder called UPM on the root of the c:\drive

3.Right click on the UPM folder, select properties and click the Security tab.

Click the Advanced tab.

4.Click on the Change Permissions button:

5.Click Add, enter Domain users and click Check Names the OK:

6.Place a tick in the allow box for the following Permissions and click OK:

List Folder/Read Data
Create Folders/Append Data

7.Click OK three times to go back to the UPM folder properties.
8.Select the Sharing tab and click the Advanced Sharing button:

9.Share the folder as UPM$ and click on the Permissions button:

10.Configure permissions as per the screenshot below.
IE: Everyone assigned Change and Read permissions.
Click OK twice and close the UPM properties dialog box:

11.Switch to your DDC virtual machine with Citrix Sutio ,Select and right click on the Policy node and Select Create Policy:
Note: You can also select Create Policy from the Actions menu.

12.Select Profile management\Basic Settings from the center drop down box:

13.Add and configure settings as follows:
Enable Profile management: Enabled
Process logons of local administrators: Enabled
Type or Copy and Paste: Path to user store: \\<your AD virtrual machine FQDN>\UPM$\%USERNAME%.%USERDOMAIN%\!CTX_PROFILEVER!!CTX_OSBITNESS!

14.Once the settings have been added and configured as per the values in Step 16 above, click Next:

15.Click Assign to all objects in a site and click Next.
16.Name the Policy UPM and click Finish.
17.run gpupdate /force.
