Description
This article is intended for Citrix administrators and technical teams only.
Non-admin users must contact their company’s Help Desk/IT support team and can refer to CTX297149 for more information.
ACR/SR is enabled out-of-the-box after users upgrade XenApp/XenDesktop to 7.13 or newer along with Receiver for Windows to 4.7 or higher, if the administrator doesn't configure the ACR/SR settings accordingly in Citrix Policy even though the features are turned off in the Receiver Group Policy Object template or the defalt.ica file.
Resolution
Disable ACR/SR in Citrix Policy. See Product Documentation for more about the
Auto Client Reconnect/
Session Reliability policy settings.
Problem Cause
In XenApp/XenDesktop 7.13, an enhancement was made and now Citrix administrators can manage ACR/SR via Citrix Policy, not via the Citrix Receiver Group Policy Object administrative template nor the default.ica file. By default, ACR/SR is allowed in Citrix Policy.
Upgrade Paths and ACR/SR BehaviorScenario 1: ACR/SR was originally disabled, but not configured accordingly in Citrix Policy after upgrade to 7.13 + 4.7

Scenario 2: ACR/SR was originally Enabled, but not configured accordingly in Citrix Policy after upgrade to 7.13 + 4.7
ACR/SR Behavior Matrix

Issue/Introduction
Customers may experience behavioral changes in Auto Client Reconnect(ACR) and Session Reliability(SR) when Receiver for Windows 4.7 or later is used in conjunction with XenApp/XenDesktop 7.13 and higher.
