Description
Client keyboard layout is automatically synchronized to VDA upon ICA session establishment, regardless of pre-defined keyboard layout in VDA.
It might bring non-consistent user experience considering customer could pre-define VDA side default keyboard layout for login user.
For example:
Client Side | VDA Side |
Current keyboard layout | Pre-defined keyboard layout | Actual keyboard Layout |
English (United States) | English (United States) | English (United States) |
Chinese Simplified | English (United States) | Chinese Simplified |
Resolution
A new feature named "Local Keyboard Layout Setting" is introduced since XenDesktop 7.12 and Windows Receiver 4.6, which allows user to enable or disable keyboard layout synchronization via
Receiver > Advanced Preferences > Local keyboard layout setting. By default, the auto-synchronization is disabled.
