Description

Objective

This article describes how to install XenDesktop/XenApp 7.12 MCS binary fix for catalog deletion error on VSAN 6.2.

Requirements

XenDesktop 7.12 needs to be implemented on the computer this package will be deployed to.

Instructions

Unzip the package to get 3 library files

  • FMACodeAnalysis.Attributes.dll
  • HypervisorsCommon.dll
  • VirtualCenter.dll

On every DDC in XenDesktop site

  • Stop Broker, Host and MCS services
  • Copy the three files to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Citrix\HCLPlugins\Hypervisor\v2.20.0.0\VMware
  • Restart the services

Note

PVS BDM partition will not work for VSAN 6.x.

Known Issues

MCS image update may fail with VSAN 6.x because identity disk can not be reliably retrieved and attach back to VM.

Workaround: Manually delete VM and create new VM or create new catalog for image update.
