This article describes how to create Custom Reports on the command center. 


Instructions

Steps to configure Custom Reports:

  • Select -> Reporting-> Custom Reports.
  • Add the required details title and purpose of this report.
  • Select the Group according to your requirement for what you want to collect the log for , I selected  Virtual Servers + and select the counter Number of Services, which will give the details of the number of services running behind LB. 
  • Select the mentioned following tabs and check the required method what you want to apply with the counter, According to our requirement to show the number of service I choose Method SUM.
  • Click on Finish and your report will be saved under custom report section.
  • Select the report -> Click on View Graph tab at the TOP and select the virtual server which report you want to pull. You can select one LB or multiple LB.
  • Once you are done with the selection Click on View Graph at the TOP window that will show you GUI Analyzer and show you all IP details.
  • Select the Export data field if you want to download the report in either CSV or XML format.

In the below example, I have selected the Group 'Virtual Server' where trying to generate report type : "To find out the Number of services running behind the LB"

Please find the below Applicable Group which we can use while while generating reports :

{ AAA, ACL , ACL Table + , ACL6 , ACL6 Table + , App Firewall , App Firewall Profile + , CPU Usage + , Cache Redirection Policies + , Compression , Content Filters + , Content Switch Policies + , DNS , DNS RECORD STATS+ , DNSRECORD STATS , GSLB , HTTP, ICMP , ICache , IP , IPV6 , INTERFACE + , NIC , POLICY ENGINE + RESOURCES , SSL , SSL (CUMULATIVE ) , SERVICE GROUPS + , SIMPLE ACL , SURE CONNECT , SYSTEM DISKS + , SYSTEM HEALTH + , TCP , UDP , VLAN+, VPN , VIRTUAL SERVERS , VIRTUAL SERVICES , VXLANS } 

Follow the below instruction to configure the custom reports step by step : 

  1. Login to the Command Center. 
  2. Enter Username/Password Credentials. 
  3. From the title bar window select the Reporting tool tab from top right corner. 

Select -> Reporting-> Custom Reports-> Click on Add

Add the Name , Description , Device Family ( Only applicable for NetScaler and Cloud Bridge Devices )

As per the example , I have selected the Group as Virtual Servers + and select the counter Number of Services which will give the log of Active number of services behind Load Balancing IP.

         Select the mentioned following tabs and check the required method what you want to apply with the counter, According to our requirement to show the number of service I choose Method SUM.

        Click on Finish and your report will be saved under custom report section at the bottom:

        Select the report -> Click on View Graph tab at the TOP and select the virtual server which report you want to pull using the selected custom report. You can select one LB or multiple LB.

         Once you are done with the selection Click on View Graph at the TOP window that will show you GUI Analyzer and show you all details.

         Select the Export data field if you want to download the report, you can either choose CSV or XML data format only.

Issue/Introduction

On the Command Center under the Reporting tool we have custom report feature we can use to fetch the reports on the NetScaler to capture different kind of reports.
