Description

When launching an anonymous user session, the user might experience a longer than expected connection time or the session connection attempt may timeout and fail to connect.

Resolution

Fix #LC6023, which addresses this issue, is available in XenApp and XenDesktop 7.12, and in Update BrokerSvcWX64_7_6_2001 for XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6 LTSR CU2 Desktop Delivery Controller (64-bit).

Customers who heavily leverage anonymous user sessions and are considering moving to XenApp 7.6 or newer should deploy fix #LC6023. Customers who already heavily leverage anonymous user sessions successfully without experiencing the symptoms on XenApp 7.6 or newer and have plans to scale out and add more anonymous users should deploy fix #LC6023.

Problem Cause

When anonymous user sessions are attempting to connect at a fast rate in a short period of time (several anonymous user sessions per second), connection brokering database operations related to anonymous users can become blocked resulting in the symptoms explained above.
